YOUTH WORK TEAM COORDINATOR

approach. in sync Youth & Family Services have adopted an
organisational structure that is intended to facilitate the integrated
multi-disciplinary approach to our work, and create the flexibility to
identify and meet the emerging needs of children, young people, their
families and communities in Kildare and West Wicklow.
The YOUTH WORK TEAM COORDINATOR position is one of two posts
responsible for overseeing and leading an integrated range of Youth
Services, developing and implementing services and interventions for
children and young people in locations across Kildare and West
Wicklow.
The role will have oversight of Youth Projects in Leixlip and
Newbridge/Curragh; our two Garda Youth Diversion Projects, the Bridge
(North Kildare) and The CAN (Newbridge/Curragh); our network of Youth
Clubs and co-facilitating our Junior Board. This post is primarily
based in the Curragh with travel across the county (_CURRENTLY
PRIMARILY REMOTE WORKING DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS_).
The successful candidate MUST HIGHLIGHT IN THEIR APPLICATION FORM that
they:
* Have a recognised 3rd level qualification in Youth Work or a
related discipline.
* Have a minimum of 3 years? experience of line
management/supervision and leading teams in a youth work setting with
?at-risk? young people in a paid capacity.
* Have experience of implementing and overseeing delivery of
Strategic and Operational plans.
* Have experience of sourcing and managing programme resources.
* Have experience of developing and maintaining collaborative and
productive inter-agency relationships with relevant community,
voluntary and statutory agencies.
* Have experience of implementing and monitoring information
management and reporting systems, grant application and reporting
processes and quality standards and compliance requirements
The successful candidate WILL BE REQUIRED TO DEMONSTRATE AT INTERVIEW
that they:
* Have a strong knowledge of the youth work sector in Ireland,
specifically UBU Youth Projects and the Department of Children,
Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY).
* Have a strong knowledge of Garda Youth Diversion Projects and the
Irish Youth Justice System.
* Experience of working with voluntary youth clubs.
* Have a strong working knowledge of child protection legislation
specifically Children First.
* Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Are willing to work unsocial hours and a time off in lieu system.
* Have a full clean driving license and own transport.
The successful candidate will be employed by IN SYNC Youth & Family
